Summer Fair – Saturday 1st July, 1-4pm
I hope to see as many of you as possible tomorrow for our PSA annual school fair. This community event will have a wide range of fun activities for your children to participate in as well as a good selection of summer fair food and drink. Here’s hoping that the weather will be kind and help support our wonderful PSA volunteers to raise as much money as possible for your children.
School Trips – Whipsnade & Broadstairs. Thank you PSA!
The most fabulous time was had by Church Lane children at Whipsnade Zoo and by Rectory Gardens children at Broadstairs Beach on Tuesday. These events were made possible by the generosity of the PSA in terms of significantly helping to fund the travel costs to and from the venues. Children return from trips like this buzzing with excitement and with fond memories to savour for years to come.
Whole School Open Evening Next Week Tuesday 6-8pm
We have not had a whole school open evening for a number of years and this is now being resurrected in 2023. Here you will find out your child’s class teacher for next year as well as the classroom that they will be located in. You will have a chance to visit the classroom, meet the class teacher and find out what your children will be learning about next year. You will also have the opportunity of speaking to our specialist teachers to find out what your children will be learning in music, PE and French. We are also in the fortunate position of being able to provide a specialist art teacher once again. In addition to this we will also have food to sample from our catering company, Olive Dining,plus a Scholastic Book Fair with lots of great books.
Strike Dates – Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th July
Regrettably, much of our school will again be closed next week on Wednesday and Friday as a result of the teachers’ strike. As soon as I am informed by teachers about whether or not they will be striking, I will let you know which classes will be open next week. Do however be mindful that I may not be told until the day of the strike itself, so please make alternative arrangements in the event that your child will not be attending school.

Over the last three weeks of this academic year, there are so many events happening both within and beyond our school. Therefore, please consult our school website for all that is going on. The school office will also keep you fully updated with the myriad of events and which include sports competitions, class trips, end of year shows and assemblies and specialist music concerts. Do come along and support as many of these as you are able to.
Sports Day Priory Park – Friday 14th July
With so many events happening between now and the end of the school year, do however remember to put this special date in your diary. As with last year, it will be taking place inside Priory Park from 9.30am.
