We are open for the required number of hours per day, typically 32.5 hours per week. The school day structure for each phase can be found below:

Church Lane Reception and Year 1 & 2– Lower Phase

8.45amGates open member of staff on duty in the main playground
8.55amBell rung and children enter their own classroom via the classroom
9.05amRegisters closed
9.10amLiteracy or Numeracy/Foundation Stage Activities
10.10amAssembly
10.30amPlaytime
10.45amBell Rings
11.00amLiteracy/Numeracy/Foundation Stage/Activities or PE
11.50am 12.05pmLunchtime– Reception Classes lunch – Children are collected from their classroom by their SMSA.
Lunchtime – Y1 & Y2 (Classes are divided into sittings
1.00pmBell rings for Reception – children to come into class
1.15pmLunchtime finishes
1.20pmFoundation Subjects
2.30pmPlaytime
2.45pmBell Rings
2.50pmPhonics/story/foundation subjects
 3.30pm3.20pm Gate opens and 3.30pm children go home
Children who are not collected are brought to the office for a telephone call to parents/carers. Staff to record this in absence/lateness book in office. Member of the Leadership Team will supervise late children.

Rectory Gardens Years 3 & 4  – Middle Phase

8.35amGates open member of staff on duty in the main playground
8.45am Gates closes
8.55amRegisters close
9.00amAssembly
9.25amCurriculum
10.20amPlaytime
10.30amBell Rings
10.35amCurriculum
11.50amLunchtime – Children come downstairs for lunch. Classes are divided into sittings.
12.50pmLunchtime finishes
1.25pmAfternoon session 1
 –    Younger children may have an afternoon break
2.20pmAfternoon session 2
3.15pmEnd of school day – Children go to a ‘going home place’ and parent/carers come to the playground. Class teachers allow children to go when parent/carer is present.
