We are a school located in the heart of Hornsey and one that fully represents the rich and diverse community that we are proud to serve. You will receive a warm welcome into our school, one that is fully inclusive, irrespective of individual needs and starting points. We have excellent transition procedures and once children start at our school, they quickly settle into the life of St Mary’s, with the vast majority of our children remaining with us for the duration of their primary education.
We welcome families from all faiths, and those with none to our wonderful school. Our values of friendship, compassion, hope, wisdom, community and endurance are things that we can all identify with regardless of our faith or backgrounds.
Our vision is at the centre of all we do. It is focused on enabling everyone to flourish, planting seeds to aspire high in academic and personal growth, achieving well to realise your purpose in life and ensuring everyone has a sense of belonging in our school family.
We are committed to working in partnership with all families, and the school’s community, including the Parish of St Mary’s, to make every child’s time with us a positive one. It is fair to say that parents think highly of our school. Children also talk positively about St Mary’s, believing that the teaching is good, that school staff do all they can to help them with their learning and development, and that St Mary’s is a happy and safe place for them to be. Through a joint commitment, we can continue to grow and live out our mission statement.
I feel privileged to work at St Mary’s and I know that my staff feel the same too. We are proud that our children consistently act with integrity, cooperate well with others and increasingly, develop into becoming responsible and respectful young people who are equipped for the next stage of their learning journey, flourishing in wider society as effective global citizens.
