The Government provides primary schools with an additional grant for improving the participation and attainment of pupils in PE and sport. This funding is ringfenced, and aims to achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools, with all pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is additional funding from the government given to schools to specifically support pupils from disadvantage and vulnerable backgrounds. The grant allows schools to ensure those children benefit from the same opportunities as children from less deprived families.

Your Headteacher is responsible for their accuracy and safe – keeping. Please help to keep your child ’s records up to date by informing us of any change of circumstances.

St Mary’s is the Lead School for a partnership comprised of several schools working in working in conjunction with the London Diocesan Board for Schools School Centred Initial Teacher Training (LDBS SCITT) to recruit and train teachers on the Schools Direct programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with the option of a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
