Keeping Children Safe
Keeping children safe can take the form of teaching children and supporting them to
- keep themselves safe and healthy
- recognise and manage risk
- develop healthy habits
- learn about sex and relationships
- be aware of E-Safety including grooming
- deal with conflict and bullying
- developing positive attitudes
The school also supports children and families with social, emotional and medical needs.
Safeguarding is also concerned with issues of Child Protection and keeping children safe from environmental harm or harm from others which might take the form of
- neglect, emotional and physical
- sexual abuse
- physical abuse
- grooming for sexual purposes
- exposure to extremism
