Haringey Table Tennis Tournament
On 1st December we participated in the Haringey Table Tennis tournament and the competition was very high with the winners going on to represent Haringey and play with the best U11’s in London! We lost our first two match ups with only Lottie winning her individual match. We then had a great win against Stroud Green (our cycling rivals!) with 3 individual game wins. We went on to beat St Michaels and finish 5th from 10 schools. Lottie had the most wins on the day and Iris had the win of the day coming back from 9-0 down to win 14-13! We had a great afternoon and will be back next year! Well done to our 4 competitors and all those selected for our school trial!
Team: Reuben, Iris, Lottie, Dominic
Round 2 of Haringey Cycling League
On the 2nd December we sent our cyclists to Ducketts Common to the second round of the Haringey Cycling League. We went in narrowly trailing Stroud Green in 2nd place. We had some fantastic wins on the day from Amelia, Fefe, Sha’heed, Ffion and Tyler to name a few! Results from the day are yet to be announced but here’s hoping we’re top of the league! A massive well done to all our cyclists. If you/your child regularly cycles and would like to compete please get in touch with Mr Oakley as we’re looking to give new children the opportunity.

Bronze at the Tennis Panathlon Challenge!
On 5th December we entered the Tennis Panathlon Challenge at New River Sports Centre. Eight children participated and had to complete 8 different tennis related challenges involving aiming, swinging a racket and coordination. At each challenge we were trying to gather as many points as possible. Our children performed superbly, focusing on each challenge and supporting and encouraging their teammates. We achieved bronze and each child received a medal for finishing 3rd! A huge well done to all involved…

House Football Cup!
Over the last two weeks every child from year 3 to year 6 has been competing for their House in our Intra House Football Cup! Children competed in their year groups and played a round robin tournament against the other houses. All competitions were run and organised by the year 6 house captains as leadership, teamwork and independence became the focus skills! The children did brilliantly at supporting their house, being good team players and doing their best to get the win! There was some fantastic sportsmanship on display too though this didn’t take away from the competition! The final results were:-
Year 6 – Winners – Grove Runners up.. Rectory
Year 5 – Winners – Grove Runners up.. Eagle
Year 4 – Winners – Grove Runners up.. Priory
Year 3 – Winners – Eagle Runners up.. Priory
Jack and Max represent Haringey!
After dominating the Haringey Cross Country, Jack, Max and Dominic were selected to represent Haringey. On 19th Nov Jack and Max competed in the London Youth Games representing Haringey and St Marys! This is a huge achievement and I went along to watch them compete at Parliament Hill against the best of all the boroughs across London! They did brilliantly and will have their official placing soon. A huge well done to Dominic too who was sadly unable to compete in this race but has had 3 top ten finishes over the last 3 years and has a bright future in athletics and distance running!
