Summer Concerts 2024
We have been treated to some wonderful music over the last few weeks, as our musicians have come to the end of their lessons for the term. Our WCIT (Whole Class Instrument Teaching) children plus the Y5 continuers are heading up to Alexandra Palace on the 16th to take part in a concert with three other Haringey primary schools. This is part of a series of concerts highlighting the exceptional musical talents of our borough, and the Haringey Music Service.
Trumpets & Trombones
Lastly we had the trumpets and trombones concert, with Y4 Scarlet class plus the Y5 continuers. Clara and Ben have worked extremely hard all year with the children, and the effort really paid off. Preparing the children to play solos is so impressive and the children don’t bat an eyelid.
Y3 Recorders, Ukulele Club, Band and Choir
Ms Peacock led a lot of children in a wonderful concert, showcasing how much Year 3 have learnt during the year in their recorder lessons. We must be one of only a handful of schools who have a lunchtime Ukulele Club, and our numbers will increase if this concert was anything to go by. The after school Band and Choir also gave us some lovely pieces, including a shanty, which had us all tapping our toes.
Violin Assembly
Led by Mary and Stephen our violin players have come on in leaps and bounds over the course of the year. Year 4 Crimson Class played several pieces and the Y5 and Y6 continuers showed them how much they will learn as continuers.
