Year 2 Visit The Tower Of London
The year two trip to Tower of London was a delightful day, with all plans running smoothly. The children were amazed by being in the city, walking out of the tube station to the magnificent Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Eliab and Miguel commented on how nice it was to be in the city, seeing all the people, shops and sites. First was the main Tower of London Museum, where we marvelled at its building, almost 1000 years ago. Eddie particularly enjoyed the names of people that had been crowned in the past, from princes to Kings and Queens. Harmony enjoyed seeing the armour that they used to put on the horses and said she felt they were almost staring her in the face due to how realistic they were. Next, the crown jewels, where Narin noted how sparkly and shiny the diamonds were, seeing all the beautiful colours and quality of the jewels. Legend enjoyed watching the Royal Guards the most, screaming excitedly when they moved to change arms or go for a walk. However, some of us were just happy to be having a day out and eating lunch with our friends, as Eliab and Umair noted. We all returned home safely and enjoyed seeing the context of where the Great Fire of London started and the places which were affected.
