Y3 Visit Muswell Hill Synagogue
To support their RE topic on Judaism, Y3 travelled up to Muswell Hill to visit the Muswell Hill Synagogue. They were given a tour of the place and were given lots of information. They did a small quiz, tried on Kippahs and learnt about the special place the Torah is kept. They saw that it is written entirely in Hebrew from right to left! The children behaved beautifully, were respectful and asked some really good questions, and enjoyed sharing what they have learnt this term.
Tamirah said “I learnt how to read the Torah and we did a quiz about Jewish artefacts.”
Chelsea said: “My favourite part was when i got to open the blinds that were full of Torah’s behind!”
Nikolaos said “I learnt that different religions all have Holy Books.”
