Y3 Emerald Investigate How To Clean Money
Emerald Class have really enjoyed our latest science investigation. We used litmus paper to test substances to check their pH level, finding out whether they were acidic, neutral or alkaline. We then set up our test. Carefully measuring out 20ml of each substance and then leaving a dirty coin in it for 10 minutes… it was quite messy getting them out of some substances. We were surprised by some of the results. Can you guess which substance worked best?
To extend our work, we set up an experiment over the weekend using the most effective substances to see if the length of time impacts the coins at left in greatly impacts the results.
