Art – Spring 1 2026

Y4 Scarlet – Dreams & Goals

We have been making rubbings of different surfaces, inspired by the surrealist artist Max Ernst. We will use the rubbings in our own imaginative collages in response to our theme, Dreams and Goals

Y3 Everyday Objects – Wax Resist

We have been exploring wax resist technique and applying it to our drawings of overlapping everyday objects inspired by the artist Michael Craig-Martin

 

Y2  Buttercup & Marigold – Poly Printing

We have been designing and making poly block prints inspired by nature and the textile designer Althea McNish

Rectory Gardens Art Club

We have been using found and recycled materials to print with, exploring textures, pattern and colour.

Church Lane Art Club

We have been designing and making our own dinosaurs out of cardboard

Reception

We have been exploring clay, thinking about shape and texture inspired by the sculpture work of Barbara Hepworth

We have been learning about weaving. We showed resilience learning a paper weaving technique
