Art – Spring 2 2026

Year 4 – Cubism

In Y4 we have been learning about Cubism and the artists Pablo Picasso and George Braque. First we explored drawing still life objects from mutiple viewpoints and fragmented compositions. We then developed our Cubist ideas into 3D sculptures using cardboard construction techniques.

Year 2 – Oceans

In Y2 we have been exploring our theme Oceans and learning about the seascape paintings by artist Christine Brunnock. We have developed our painting skills with a colour mixing challenge, exploring how many different greens and blues we can mix. We used mixed media collage, painting and drawing skills to create our ocean scenes, describing waves and the sealife within.

RG – Art Club – Illuminated letters

At the RG Art Club we have been having fun with letters, exploring illuminated letters and designing our own colourful text designs using drawing and collage.
