Years 3 & 4 shine Haringey Gymnastics Competition and Walter wins gold!
This week we went to the Haringey Gymnastics Competition after a long postponement! There was some outstanding gymnastics on display. The children have to perform two routines off by heart in front of an audience as well as perform a vault jump. All performances are judged and then there are team results and individual results. Our Year 3-4 team stole the show by finishing 4th and narrowly missing out on bronze medals! The Year 5-6 finished mid place, however, Walter performed superbly and won individual gold, a remarkable achievement! Well done to all our gymnasts!

Haringey Cycling League Comes To A Climax!
After 8 rounds of competitive racing, the Haringey Cycling League finally finished at a wet Downhills Park! We had some mixed results with our usual riders finding the conditions tough. St Mary’s Girls Are Haringey Athletics 2024 Champions!
Last week we entered the Haringey Athletics Championship- the biggest athletics event in the calendar. Our girls were absolutely brilliant from start to finish winning gold in shot putt, javelin, long jump, 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay! It was a real team effort as we competed in every single event and I was beaming with pride when they read out St Mary’s name last and announced us as champions! A quite incredible achievement! GOLD!

Boys Athletics Team Achieve Silver
The boys also performed incredibly at the Haringey Athletics Championship. We won the 100m, 200m races. In the 800m we won gold and bronze thanks to Jack and Triston, with Jack also winning gold in the 1500m! We won the boys 4x100m relay in style! The team achieved an overall Silver and were 4 points off winning the whole thing! Such are our standards that the boys went home disappointed they also weren’t champions like the girls but 2nd in all of Haringey is still fantastic!
