Year 5 Rainforest Project
Y5 have been working really, really hard on their rainforest topic and are so inspired they are fundraising to buy an acre of rainforest to save it from deforestation. Their exhibition on the top floor is wonderful and they’re really hoping the cake sale is successful today and they raise enough money to save some rainforest.
Alice:- “It was very exciting to learn all sort of different facts about the rainforest. One of the facts that I learnt was that the Amazon rainforest provides us with over 40% of our oxygen.”
Elena:-“I think the rainforest is a beautiful place and home to many animals. We have to save it from getting cut down. Nature is very important to our existence.”
Deena: “We have to thank the rainforest for being able to breathe”
Eliab: “Raising money for the rainforest is important because it plays a big role in our existence as humans.”
