Celebrating the Harvest

Church Lane and Rectory Gardens came together to celebrate our Harvest Festival with a special assembly that included our friends from Hornsey Food Bank, Holy Trinity Food Band, Fr Ben from Holy Innocents and Fr Bruce, Naomi and Emily from Hornsey Parish Church.

The stage had been decorated with produce from our garden, harvested by some of the children under the green-fingered guidance of Mrs Brewer.

All the children came to the hall with items to donate for the Food Bank and the children spoke eloquently and clearly using the letters from HARVEST to illustrate why harvest is important. They also sang beautifully including our favourite Harvest Table which Mrs O’Brien enjoyed for the first time, and performed with gusto! Rectory Gardens sang a very moving rendition of Saltwater by Julian Lennon and Church Lane had everyone joining in with Big Red Combine Harvester. A very special assembly that embodied our Christian values.
