International Mother Language Day Celebrations
We came together at both Rectory Gardens and Church Lane to celebrate the wonderful variety of languages that are spoken in our school.
The children introduced themselves, or spoke about something in French, German, Turkish, Portuguese, Spanish, Catalan, Twi, Chinese, Polish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Amharic, Italian, Greek, Arabic, Bulgarian, Lingala, Georgian, Chinese, Romanian and English among others.
Ms Vidic and Mrs Molloy had a conversation in Serbian and Dutch to show that people can communicate without a shared language.
Some of our staff and parents also joined in and shared their names and language and Ms Peacock taught the children a song in which language
