Cycling Event at Ducketts Common & Roller Racing at RG

Haringey Schools Cycling League Round 4

We took part in the Haringey Schools Cycling League Round 4 at Ducketts Common on Friday 18th March.  A fantastic performance by all of our cyclists in Yrs 4-6.  Superb team work and encouragement from Joseph who led a group stretch before the races and  Amirah who organised the children and gave them motivational pep talks before and after races.  Well done St Mary’s!!

Roller Racing at St Mary’s

We were joined by 6 other schools to take part in a Roller Racing Event, that uses static bikes that children race on, against each other in time trials. It was a very exciting event and included lots and lots of cheering. The children face a big screen and the faster they pedal, the faster they get around the virtual track. Our school was praised for being welcoming and having a fantastic space to use. Well done to Kaan, Bertie, Fefe, Dreyon, Iris, Yousra, Isabella, Naomi and Ffion – you showed great team spirit!
