Cricket at St Marys
Cricket success at Haringey cup
On Friday 17th our Y5-6 boy’s cricket team participated in the Haringey Cricket Cup. Our boys did fantastically well winning their first two games against Coleridge and North Haringey fairly comfortably! We then narrowly lost to Rhodes Avenue to finish 2nd in the group. We were then entered in the 2nd tier afternoon competition where we won our final two knockout games beating both Coldfall and St Michaels Schools to finish 5th out of 16 schools. There was some brilliant cricket skills on display with everyone on the team contributing with run outs, wickets and lots of runs! Very proud of all involved!

Developing Cricket at St Marys
The children have been developing their cricket skills in lessons at both sites. It’s such a fun accessible sport and I’ve enjoyed seeing new children take up an interest in the sport. At Rectory Gardens we’ve started a cricket club for the first time and it’s proved hugely popular with the children. We’re entering 4 different competitions and festivals this term and have North Middlesex CC coming in on Friday 8th July to deliver specialists sessions for our children. See below for links to more cricket opportunities in the community!
