Dear Parents and Carers,
We’re rapidly approaching the end of term, and the official Christmas holiday season, but we have already been busy with lots of Christmassy activities over the last two weeks, and are all very excited for what is to come. Have a look at our Christmas post Christmas 2025 to see some of the things we have been up to. On Thursday, Rectory Gardens will be watching a pantomime at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington, following on from Church Lane’s visit to the ice show at Alexandra Palace.
Christmas Fair
We are so grateful to the PSA for organising a wonderful Christmas Fair, with a great sense of community. They’ll let us know how much was raised soon, but it was a great event attended by lots of faces, old and new. We love it when past pupils and families come back to visit.
Nativity
Next week, we have our very special Nativity performances on Tuesday next week. You have been given the details of where your children should be, what they should be wearing, and when you can watch, but if you have any questions please contact either office, or the class team. The main take-away point is that all children will be based at Rectory Gardens all day. Rehearsals are going very well and we think it’s going to be a great show. Hornsey Food Bank – donations
Also next week, on Monday, we will be taking in your donations for the Hornsey Food Bank, to help families less fortunate. The link to the letter is here Hornsey Food Bank Christmas Appeal 2025 and please feel free to add in any festive treats.
Goodbye and Hello Again
We say goodbye to Mr Lumsden, who has been covering Ms Toms’ maternity leave in Crimson Class and would like to thank him for his hard work. We look forward to seeing Ms Toms back in class at then end of next week.
School will finish for children at the usual time on Thursday 18th December and resumes on Monday 5th January.
Best wishes,
Jane O’Brien
