The Reading Shed
We are very excited at Church Lane as the long-awaited Reading Shed in the playground has finally been revamped with the help of the PSA funds.
Our children are loving using the opportunity to go in and choose a book and sit on the lovely cushions in the sunshine to read.
Here are what some of the children have said:
- “I like the Reading Shed that it is colourful and has lots of new books to read during lunchtime. I also enjoy being a book monitor.” Leona Y2
- “I like that people can find new books that they like and that they can read more stories. I am also enjoying being a book monitor.” Sam Y2
- Liberty in Y2: “We get to share new books and read with our friends.”
- “I like to choose new books from the colourful shed and read during lunchtime. I also help sorting it out and help others to find a good book.’ Rai Nari Y2
- “I like the vibrant colours and the selection of books I can read.” Riley Y2
- “I love the interesting books and read with my friends,” Sophie Y2
- Erin in Y1 said: “I really like all the different books that Mrs Molloy have chosen for us to read. I can share with my friends.”
