Y3 Investigating Light Sources
For their current science topic Y3 are learning all about light. As part of this, they are investigating light sources and they finally had a sunny day so could do some experiments relating to shadows. They used the source of light from the sun to measure around their bodies and then went back later to see how the shapes had moved. Thank you sunshine!
Sophie said: We went outside the office and drew our shadows-we returned an hour later to draw them again. A shadow is formed by the sun shining towards the ground but because we are opaque it makes a shadow.
Jude said: We drew with chalk around our shadow and came back an hour later to see our results. Shadows occur when something blocks out a light source.
