Sponsored Read Event at Church Lane

What a very successful event we’ve had! We raised £375! But with the rewards from Usborne Books, we will receive books to the value of £487.50!

At the beginning of term the children at Church Lane took part in a Sponsored Read in conjunction with Usborne books. The children had a variety of ways they could get sponsored: per minute, per page, per chapter or per book! We have had a great variety of inventive ways of being sponsored!

Many books were read and many valuable minutes reading were recorded too.

Our winners were:

• Most money raised in Y2- Leona in Marigold
• Most money raised in Y1- Erin in Saffron
• Most money raised in Reception: Oswin

Overall, most books read:-

• Winner:  Holly in Y2(18 books)
• Runner up: Jono in Y2 (16 books)

They have both received a lovely book as a reward for their fantastic fundraising efforts!

All children that took part will receive a small badge to say thank you for raising so much money.
