Visit from Parliament UK
Nikki from Parliament UK came to give an assembly to the children to talk about Parliament and the role it plays in making the laws in our country. She explained about the two houses (Commons & Lords) and gave the children lots of information about the institution and the processes. The children were very engaged and asked lots of interesting and insightful questions. The children were asked which they considered to be most important: health, housing or education, which elicited lots of opinions. Marios said “Education because if you have an education you can learn to build a house, and find out how to be healthy”
Thank you Nikki – a very important lesson for our children.
