Trip To The Houses of Parliament

Ms Clarke, Ms Wynter and Ms White  led a small group of children from Y4 and Y5 on a trip to the Houses of Parliament. This trip was organised to give children some knowledge of Parliamentary processes and to enjoy some cultural capital in the city in which they live. They also took part in a workshop which increased their appreciation of Parliament and its role in the history of democracy in Britain as well as supporting learning across the curriculum in geography and history. While they were there they were lucky enough to meet up with Catherine West, MP for Hornsey and Friern Barnet, who kindly took time out of her busy day to speak to the children. Our children behaved impeccably and asked serious and sensible questions. Have we some future leaders here? We think so!
